Cultura i Conflicte is ...

a multidisciplinary team of professionals who believe in the capacity of culture as a driving force for dialogue and reflection and as a tool for social transformation. In this sense, we propose projects in the field of performing arts, audiovisual, photography and journalism, based on a joint research project that allows contextualizing and generating new questions and new perspectives of a reality that is always diverse and polyhedral.

Our last projects, "MORIU-VOS" (premiered on November 10, 2022 at Festival Temporada Alta) and "THERE'S STILL SOMEONE IN THE WOODS"" (on tour) include a play, a photo exhibition, a documentary film and an educational program for Secondary Schools and Universities.

MORIU-VOS

MORIU-VOS is a multidisciplinary project that looks at the old, the elderly (if we speak with euphemisms). In the course of a few generations, in the Western world, the perception of the elder has changed a lot. From being a figure with moral authority, who was recognized as having wisdom and experience and who had a central role in the family structure, he has become a useless person, who does not understand the world and who must be removed so that he does not bother . MORIU-VOS is a cry against ageism and the invisibility of old age. A proposal to spark conversation between generations. A work that speaks of ourselves.

THERE'S STILL SOMEONE IN THE WOODS

It happened in the heart of Europe, just a two-hour flight from Barcelona, where we were euphoric with the Olympics. Sarajevo had hosted them a few years earlier. Suddenly, images of concentration camps in Bosnia and Herzegovina appeared on the TV news, alongside the Olympic medal counts. It has been three decades since that war, where between 25,000 and 50,000 girls and women were raped as an ethnic cleansing strategy. The spotlights and cameras are no longer there. But has the war ended for the surviving women and the children born of those rapes? And where were we, the international community, while this was happening? Where are we now?
